Our impact
At the heart of our work is the recognition that the crises we face are deeply interconnected.
Our programmes in clean air, online climate, and education demonstrate how systemic change becomes possible when we act with communities, collaborate with partners, and influence the structures that shape daily life.
Across clean air, digital justice, and education, we are driven meaningful change by turning evidence into action and empowering people to challenge the systems shaping their lives.
From influencing national clean air policy and supporting health professionals and schools, to exposing the digital structures that fuel climate delay, to equipping young people with the tools to lead collective change, our achievements demonstrate the power of collaboration, courage, and clarity of purpose.
Big Tech
We challenged the Government on it's approval of construction of a new hyperscale data centre in Buckinghamshire, a county that is suffering from severe water stress. In response, the Government climbed down, accepting that its decision to grant permission for the data centre should be quashed.

Clean Air
The third annual Clean Air night, raising awareness of the impacts of domestic burning and campaigning for policy change, was used by the Government as the date to launch their new consultation on proposed measures to tackle domestic burning emissions. This is a positive step towards policy that reduces harmful emissions.

Education
Our Good Life Schools programme is now working with children and schools in eight local authorities across England and Wales, supporting young people to build resilience to consumption pressures and empowering them to reimagine ways of living and learning that are good for us and good for the planet.

In 2024/25, our reach extended to over a million people, with thousands directly engaging in campaigns, research, and learning. But more importantly, our work translated into measurable shifts in awareness, behaviour, and policy. From hospitals embedding clean air frameworks into clinical practice, to young people challenging surveillance advertising, to educators shaping curriculum reform, we have seen how collective action creates ripples of long-term change.

Our track record of change
For over 30 years, Global Action Plan has driven action on the climate and nature crises through cutting-edge behaviour change programmes and thought leadership. We have mobilised a network of businesses, NGOs, local authorities, schools and healthcare professionals to work together to heal people and planet. Our reach extends beyond the UK, through our leadership of transnational projects and as a member of the Global Action Plan International Network.
We are the organisation behind Clean Air Day, the UK’s biggest pollution action campaign, and we manage Global Action Plan Education, an online community of over 8,000 teachers empowering students to take climate action.
