A global problem needs a global solution

Global Action Plan International is a network of organisations that has been catalysing climate action across the world since the 1980s.

Global Action Plan UK is the Secretariat for Global Action Plan International and a member of the governing Board. The international network is a huge asset to our work:

we learn from and share the latest methods and tools
we co-develop coordinated international programmes, tailoring content and approaches to suit different country audiences
we scale proven approaches quickly with on-the-ground teams in over 20 countries and well-tested quality assurance & contracting processes

Global Action Plan UK are also adept at recruiting and setting up management systems for new delivery partners when working in territories not currently covered by the International network – see countries in blue for our recent partnerships outside of the network.

Many of our award-winning international programmes have been delivered through the network, from Water Explorer which saw 30,000 young people taking water saving action across 13 countries thanks to the HSBC Water Foundation – to our Dirt is Good programme with Persil which saw 36,000 young people lead projects on the Sustainable Development Goals.
