Trewin RestorickTrewin Restorick - CEO
Trewin founded Global Action Plan in 1993. He has worked for Friends of the Earth as both the Recycling Co-ordinator and Head of Marketing. He established the first blue box kerbside recycling scheme in the UK and he created 'Paper Round', an office based recycling scheme in London. Previously Trewin worked for Plymouth City Council, The Dartington Trust and as a producer on a series of youth programmes for BBC2.
  
Dr Chantelle HoppeDr Chantelle Hoppé - Head of Programmes
Chantelle started at Global Action Plan in 2001 as Business Programmes Manager. She worked on waste and energy efficiency programmes, including the East Sussex Waste Minimisation Partnership, which won the 2002 National Waste Minimization Green Apple Award.  She has also held the post of Regional Team Leader for the South East. Chantelle has a PhD in Environmental Science and has previously worked as an environmental specialist in the Near East, as a Data Analyst and a Green Travel Plan Officer.
 

Peggy Saint AuretPeggy Saint-Auret - Head of Resources    
Peggy obtained an MSc in International Trade and Economics from the French University of the West Indies in 1998. During her time at University Peggy developed a keen interest in development economics, specifically in how the dynamics between ecological and social systems affect development in poorer countries. She has been involved in organising and promoting trade missions to help expand the solar panel market in the Caribbean region.  She has several years experience working both in the private and voluntary sector in the UK and in her spare time enjoys being a Trustee for an Enfield based women's organisation, as well as helping to promote the Creole culture in the UK as a volunteer with a London based French Caribbean association.    
 

 
Emel YasarEmel Yasar - Resources Manager
Having previously worked in student support at a further education College, Emel joined Global Action Plan in January 2005, where she looks after operational needs in the London office. Other past work experiences include working in both the Educational and Creational departments of the London Aquarium as well as volunteering at Gweek Seal Sanctuary. Whilst studying Marine Biology Emel completed her PADI Scuba Diving qualification and is interested in combining this ability with her enthusiasm for wildlife photography.  
    
Graeme SpinksGraeme Spinks - Head of Finance
Graeme qualified as chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and spent many enjoyable years working for Lucas Industries and, most recently, as Group Financial Controller of BBC Worldwide. In his spare time Graeme is a keen birdwatcher, both in the UK and abroad and is a Trustee of the Oriental Bird Club. In 2006 he joined Global Action Plan, attracted by the enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism of the team. He now faces something of a dilemma - how to go birding in Asia's rapidly dwindling tropical rain forests and have a reasonable carbon footprint?       
 
Anita KamyaAnita Kamya - Finance Manager  
Anita joined Global Action Plan in January 2007. She has worked in the charity sector since graduating in Accounting and Finance (ACCA part-qualified). In her spare time, Anita keeps herself busy by running fundraising events for tackling issues such as child soldiers in Northern Uganda and also organises social events for the youth in her community.  Anita has a keen interest in the processes of change in developing countries and the major policy challenges they pose. She is currently enrolling on an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
 
Sam BalchSam Balch - Research & Development Manager
Sam joined Global Action Plan in September 2005 after completing an MSc in Environment, Science and Society at UCL. In between his Masters and Undergraduate degree in Geography and Anthropology, he worked at WWF-UK as a press officer. In addition, Sam has also worked as an Energy Bike Educator for Global Action Plan, peddling energy-efficiency to the country's media and politicians.

Emma MorrisEmma Morris - Marketing Manager
Emma joined Global Action Plan in 2005, after working in the Higher Education sector for seven years. This was interspersed with extended periods of travelling and living overseas. She graduated in Physical Geography and is currently attempting to finish her MSc in Marketing Management dissertation.
 
Ann MorrisAnn Morris - EcoTeams London Project Manager
Ann joined Global Action Plan in 2007 after completing a Diploma in Environmental Policy and a BSc in Environmental Studies through the Open University. Born in England, she moved to South Africa with her family where she spent many years before embarking on travels through Europe and North America. After spending eight years in New York teaching horse riding in Central Park, marketing and selling fine wines she returned to the UK and worked for a local authority in waste management.
 
Rebecca HaslamRebecca Haslam - Events Officer  
Rebecca joined Global Action Plan in 2007 after working for the NHS and community projects. She has a degree in Cultural Studies from the University of East London. She loves yoga and live music and has campaigned with Oxfam Outreach for four years at festivals and events in the South East, including a trip to Downing Street. Rebecca is also the Chairperson of Fairtrade Redbridge. Rebecca manages the Energy Bike and Carbon Gym and provides administrative support to the Business Programmes and Development and Communications Team.
 
Chris LargeChris Large - Head of Consultancy
Chris joined Global Action Plan in 2005 to promote environmental good practices within workplaces and has responsibility for delivering our Environment Champions Programmes outside of London. After graduating from the University of York with a degree in Biology, Chris gained experience in analysing and changing employees' behaviour in a range of organisations. Whilst working for a procurement consultancy, Chris managed projects for local authorities, blue chip companies and large national charities.

Sarah CameronSarah Cameron - Senior Partnership Manager
Before joining Global Action Plan in 2007, Sarah worked as Team Leader for Australian climate change initiative Power To Change, a campaign which kick started community action on climate change and helped switch thousands of homes to renewable energy. Prior to this she freelanced as a Sustainability Consultant, advising individuals and businesses on reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Sarah has delivered presentations and workshops on sustainable living at numerous international conferences.
 
Faisal QayiumFaisal Qayium - Green IT Programme Manager 
Faisal joined Global Action Plan in 2007 while completing his MSc in Environmental Systems Engineering at UCL. As a student he worked with WWF-UK on ecological footprint analysis using the Resources and Energy Analysis Programme, a software tool that converts data on household consumption at the national level into information on its associated environmental impact. During a research project, he developed expertise in management of air pollution control residues from municipal waste incinerators.  Previously, Faisal was an analyst for a fuel additive company whose products reduce air pollution and improve efficiency of fuel combustion.
 
Ruth ColeRuth Cole – Fundraising Officer
Ruth joined Global Action Plan in 2007. Whilst completing her BSc in Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, she spent a busy year as Environment Officer for the Student Union. Since graduating, Ruth has worked for South East Wales Energy Agency and for Vision 21, a locally based organisation promoting sustainable development in Gloucestershire. She loves mountain walking and is looking forward to contributing to London’s live music scene with some good folk and indie vibes.

Jenny WiggleJenni Wiggle - Schools Senior Programme Manager
Jenni trained as a teacher in New Zealand, where she taught Health and Physical Education. She left home several years ago to travel the world, living in Canada and France and doing wildlife conservation work in Croatia and Scotland. Before joining Global Action Plan as a School Programme Manager in 2004, Jenni taught for two years in London schools. She loves the great outdoors and takes every opportunity she can to explore the world's wild places. 
 
Cassi Jeens WilliamsCassie Jeens-Williams - Schools Project Officer 
Cassie joined Global Action Plan in 2007 after working for Children's BBC as a researcher. She previously worked for the British Heart Foundation as a fundraiser. Cassie studied at Bournemouth University and graduated with a degree in Media Production. Cassie enjoys visiting new places, photography and being in the great outdoors whenever possible. She has completed the London Moonwalk twice and is hoping to make next year a hat trick!
 
Nick MartinNick Martin - Community Programme Manager
Nick joined Global Action Plan in 2006 from Enfield Council where he was the Waste Education Officer. He has an MSc in Education for Sustainability where he studied with environmentalists from around the world. He is also trustee for the London 21 Sustainability Network. Nick enjoys travelling; he has worked as an English Teacher in Italy and has participated in health and environmental projects in Namibia. A keen sportsman, he plays football and loves the great outdoors. 
 
Penny SturgessPenny Sturgess - Head of Communities
After graduating with a degree in Psychology and travelling in South America, Penny spent ten years managing information and advice services for national disability charities, including setting up the UK's first video-helpline for deaf sign language users. She has done a range of voluntary work for mental health and homelessness charities and has campaigned on human and animal rights issues. Penny is studying for an MSc in Sustainable Development and loves the great outdoors, exploring new places and pottering in her garden.
 
Charlotte HighCharlotte High - SmartWorks Programme Manager
Charlotte joined Global Action Plan in 2005 after having spent three years working in the retail sector encouraging buyers to invest in fair trade and eco-friendly fashion. A keen interest in sustainable business practice led Charlotte to her current role where she is working with a range of organisations in the London area. Previous experience includes five years working in Tokyo, firstly in financial sector recruitment and later setting up web-based related projects. Prior to this, Charlotte completed a degree at Manchester University in Biology.
 
Amy WilsonAmy Wilson - Partnership Manager
Amy joined Global Action Plan after working as a Corporate Responsibility consultant in the commercial sector, where she advised a variety of businesses on environmental and social issues. Amy studied Environmental Biology at universities in Lancaster and Maine, USA, and has experience in research, marketing and events organising.  She spent a year living and working in New Zealand, and during her free time helps to raise awareness about fair trade. 
 

 
Kim JardineKim Jardine - Business Advisor, SmartWorks
Before joining the SmartWorks team at Global Action Plan, Kim, worked at Creative Environmental Networks on a sustainable transport project to encourage Londoners to leave their car at home and take the healthier option of walking or cycling to work. Prior to this, she completed an MSc in Sustainable Business and co-ordinated the sustainable transport group at Leeds University in an attempt to carbon offset her two years living and working in Japan immediately before.

Mark HodgesonMark Hodgson - South West Business Manager
Mark has a wide range of business consulting experience. He has an MBA from Exeter University where he specialised in opportunities for environmental sustainability within SMEs. He has helped rural small business reduce costs by 10% through supply chain improvements and the setting up of 'buying clubs' and has enabled companies reduce environmental impact and material costs. Mark is experienced at business development and change, is both a quality and environmental assessor and has run his own business.

Andrew TaylorAndrew Taylor - Fundraising Consultant
A decade ago, Andrew's job mainly involved sitting on aeroplanes en route from one international bank to another. He quit this itinerant career to live on Dartmoor and pursue his real interests: wildlife conservation, waste education and helping to ensure that EU funds are used to benefit the environment, rather than damage it. His main role at Global Action Plan is to secure funding for new projects.
 
Thomas StoreThomas Store - Envision Senior Business Mentor 
Thomas began working as an Environmental Economist in South Africa after serious concerns over health and safety during his conscripted period in the South African Navy. Seeking finer weather Thomas decided to base himself in the UK. With a wealth of experience in advising organisations on environmental and sustainability management, Thomas now finds himself leading the Envision project in the idyllic surrounds of North Devon. Known to his colleagues as the Green Samson, Thomas's interest include cycling (everywhere), swimming, surfing, running and walking his dogs on the beach, although with a baby on the way this list may have to be seriously revised!
 
 
James JacobsJames Jacobs - Envision Business Mentor
James first applied to Global Action Plan in 2001, but was finally rewarded for his persistence with a job in 2005 delivering the Envision project in North Devon. Hailing from the South West, James is very pleased to be able to assist small businesses across the region improve their environmental performance, and enjoys nothing more than getting out of the office for a surf or bike ride.
 

Jeff Sharp - Envision Business Mentor      
Jeff joined Global Action Plan after a long career with the Body Shop as an Engineering Manager, where he formed a foundation on which to launch the environmental work on the Envision project. Jeff enjoys delivering environmental support to businesses in North Devon. Outside of work he rows for his local rowing club, where he focuses on energy efficiency combined with the use of water. When not rowing, Jeff can be found preparing his oldest daughter's boyfriend for marriage and teaching his puppy new tricks.
 
Ben EardlyBen Eardley - Renewable Energy for Devon Mentor
 
Nick Goff - Renewable Energy for Devon Mentor   
Originally from Nelsons county of Norfolk, via a small two year adventure to the antipodean islands, Nick graduated from Brighton University in Applied Physics and Chemistry with Management. After working in the environmental field for two years, he changed career paths to landscape architecture; he was part of the winning team at Chelsea flower show in 2004 and built a garden for the Sultan of Abu Dhabi. Following this Nick was asked to renovate a Kew garden in Nigeria where he also had a small film part in the film 'Amazing Grace'. After working for NGOs in the renewable energy field, he felt it was time to head back to Blighty and make a difference in the UK renewable energy sector. He joined Global Action Plan as part of Renewable Energy 4 Devon (RE4D), a successful project helping businesses install renewable energy to help them limit their environmental footprint. Nick enjoys surfing.
 
Victoria ThompsonVictoria Thompson - Schools Programme Manager 
Victoria joined the Global Action Plan schools team in 2007. After studying for a BSc in Human Sciences at the University of Sussex she moved to Bath to study an MSc in Science Communication. Since then Victoria has run science workshops and events for young people and has appeared on Irish children's television conducting a science experiment on Irish children's television alongside a puppet turkey! Victoria has undertaken work experience with the Environment Agency and has volunteered for the Devon Wildlife Trust. She is very happy with her shift into the environmental field and the move back to her home county of Devon.

Jenny TinkerJenny Tinker - South East Regional Team Leader
Jenny completed a BA Hons in African Studies at Birmingham University, followed by several years of teaching English overseas, working with people with learning disabilities and working in the Relief and Development sector for organisations such as VSO (Eritrea), Oxfam and RedR. She joined Global Action Plan in 2003 and is responsible for managing and developing activities in the South East. 

Donna Armstrong - Schools Programme Manager
Donna holds a BSc in Psychology and is a certified Home Energy Advisor. Before working for Global Action Plan, Donna taught English language in Japan, worked with special needs students in the UK and ran the West Sussex Energy Efficiency Advice Centre. Donna has also done a variety of voluntary work with local authorities and charities.    
 
Lisa UnsworthLisa Unsworth - Reporting Officer
Lisa has a BSc in Economics and has worked in the commercial, public and charity sectors. She loves exploring the great outdoors and prior to joining Global Action Plan in 2007 she contributed to environmental research, wildlife conservation and community development projects in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Since then, Lisa has become the linchpin of the Brighton office. In addition to supporting the Head of Programmes on a day-to-day basis, she oversees external research projects and development of the EcoTeams web database. Lisa is also responsible for co-ordinating the monitoring and evaluation of our work with schools, business and communities, collating information on project outcomes and reporting on key performance indicators.
 
Myrtle CooperMyrtle Cooper - Reporting Assistant
Myrtle has a degree in Psychology and Cultural Studies from Sussex University. Before joining Global Action Plan in 2007 she worked as a fundraiser and also taught English in Eastern Europe. When she's not diligently producing reports, Myrtle spends her time volunteering with local environmental groups and dodging overgrown seagulls in Brighton.

 

Nottinghamshire Office 

Julie JacksonJulie Jackson - EcoTeams Programme Manager
After earning a BSc in Environmental Management with Economics, Julie spent 18 months in voluntary conservation roles including as a Nature Reserve Assistant with the Devon Wildlife Trust. She then completed an MSc in Environmental Management in Rural Areas which included six months in the Netherlands and six months at the University of Rouen on a research project looking at chalk grassland management. Julie joined Global Action Plan in 2004, having previously worked with the environmental charity ENCAMS and as a researcher at Harper Adams University College. 
 
 
Adrian WilliamsAde Williams - Partnership Manager
Ade joined Global Action Plan in 2006 with a diverse background in agriculture, environmental issues, education and community working. He has worked for Cambridge University and the Environment Agency, has significant volunteer experience with the National Trust and Victim Support and spent two years as a VSO teacher in Ghana. He holds a BSc in Soils and the Environment, an MSc in Quaternary Science and a post-graduate diploma in Globalisation, Identity and Technology.f
