Our EcoTeams programme is designed to help households and individuals make improvements across a wide range of activities including energy use, transport, water, waste and shopping.

EcoTeams seeks to change consumer behaviour at the community level through education, training and support. The programme gives practical advice and ideas on how to improve household efficiency, reduce environmental impact and save resources.

What are EcoTeams?

EcoTeams is a long established and highly effective programme. Working with family, friends, colleagues, even strangers, through a series of action-focused meetings or online groups, we’ll provide you with the tools you need to make a difference.

Climate change, increasing stress on natural resources, growing mountains of rubbish, worsening air and water pollution – it can be difficult to know where to begin…

But making changes is easier when we do it together - with friends and neighbours - rather than working alone.

With EcoTeams we provide the practical information you need to take positive steps in your own life towards greener living.

What sort of difference will I make?

The EcoTeams programme has been independently certified, and endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme. A household taking part typically:

• improves energy and water management, reducing CO2 emissions by 16.6%
• reduces bills by £170 a year
• reduce waste by 20%, while increasing the proportion of rubbish that is recycled
• reduces water used by 15%

And many people continue to keep improving even when they are no longer involved in a team.

EcoTeams are great because they can be run in many different ways with people from all walks of life.

By working as a team, you can make simple but tangible differences, which amount to significant savings.
